How to use it

  1. Choose a unit, then type a width, a height, or both. With "Keep proportions" on, one number is enough.
  2. Drop your pictures onto the sheet. Each one is resized to match and appears in the list below.
  3. Download the files one by one, or all together as a ZIP.

Good to know

  • Making a picture smaller keeps it sharp. Making it larger cannot add detail, so it comes out soft.
  • For centimeters, millimeters or inches, the tool multiplies the physical size by the DPI to get pixels. 300 DPI is a common choice for print, and 72 to 96 for screens.
  • Switch off "Keep proportions" to force an exact width and height. The picture will stretch if its shape is different.
  • This tool scales pictures. It does not crop them.

Questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The work happens inside your browser, on your own device, so your files never reach our server. The page does load ads from third parties, but they cannot see your files.

Does this set the DPI inside the file?

No. The tool works out how many pixels you need and saves a picture of that size. The file itself carries no DPI tag, although print shops mostly go by pixel size.

What happens to transparency?

PNG and WebP keep it. JPG cannot, so clear areas turn white.

Is there a size limit?

Your browser sets it. Results above about 100 million pixels are refused, and phones may stop well before that.
