How to use it
- Choose the format you want to convert to.
- Drop your pictures onto the sheet. Many files at once are fine.
- Download each result, or grab them all as a ZIP.
Good to know
- JPG suits photos. PNG suits screenshots, logos and anything with sharp edges or transparency. WebP can do both and is usually smaller.
- JPG cannot be see-through, so clear areas are filled with the background color you pick.
- Converting a JPG to PNG does not bring back detail the JPG already lost. The file is usually larger, not better.
- Animated GIFs convert as a single still frame.
Questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The work happens inside your browser, on your own device, so your files never reach our server. The page does load ads from third parties, but they cannot see your files.
Which files can I open?
Anything your browser can display, which normally includes PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF. iPhone HEIC photos need the HEIC to JPG tool.
Is anything lost when converting?
Saving as JPG or WebP at a quality below 100 discards some detail. PNG keeps every pixel.
